Welcome to
The campus is located about two and half kilometers from the city center. The location is not only conducive for learning away from the hustle and bustle of the city center but also easily accessible from all directions. This is the first campus of the many that Bugema University has put up. It was opened up in 2005, initially it was hosted at the Union of SDA church headquarters in Makerere opposite Law Development Centre. In 2009, the university purchased a building off Bwaise – Kavule road, along the Muganzi Awongerwa road, where the campus is now hosted.
The first students to Join This Campus were mainly the working class who preferred evening classes.
The day, evening and online programs are open for
Business, Social Sciences, Education (Arts), Informatics and Computing at under graduate level while the
postgraduate studies are handled on Sundays and /or online.
Given the cosmopolitan makeup of the enrolment, the campus like her mother has raised and prepared many responsible citizens from within Uganda and internationally. We remain indebted to our committed faculty, staff members and good willed patrons and alumni. Some of our alumni are Church leaders, educators, members of parliament, civil servants, and entrepreneurs to mention but a few.

BUK participated in the 3rd July 2022 ANNUAL KABAKA BIRTHDAY RUN. The focus of this year's run was ‘Men Against HIV & AIDS to Save Girl Child.’
